COURSE DESCRIPTION
Nurses work with families and in communities. The course, Family Home Emergency & Disaster Preparedness is a 3-hour recorded video- lecture that seeks to equip Filipino Nurses on what to do during family home emergencies and disasters, so that they can teach these strategies to families and communities.
OBJECTIVES
By the end of the course, Filipino Professionals such as nurses and lifelong learners will be able to:
- Justify the importance of preparing for family home emergencies and disasters
- Effectively create a plan for family emergencies and perform drills using the plan
- Understand and apply the skills to make home safer for all family members
- Prepare self-sufficient emergency kit enough for all family members
REQUIREMENTS
- Ensure 100% “complete” status before end of course availability period
- Successfully pass the evaluation exam by scoring 7 or above, out of 10 multiple- choice questions

Our Speaker is a passionate advocate of Disaster Risk Reduction and Emergency Management. He has been serving at the Valenzuela City DRRM Office since 2015. He is a graduate of Informatics Computer College Caloocan with a degree of BS in Computer Science. He is a sought-after Speaker and Instructor on Disaster Risk Reduction and Management. He is always invited by different schools, universities, and the prestigious Tactical, Survival, and Arms Expo (TACS). Currently, he is also the Chief of Operations of the Regional Emergency Assistance Communications Team and Board of Director of the Wilderness Search and Rescue Philippines (Metro North).
