Job Responsibilities: Keep us informed about the entertainment industry and copyright regulations Stay in touch with our lawyers and make sure they have the information they need, such as researching and preparing documents for cases. Assist the transactional lawyer in finding contracts and tracking license application details Research/registration of works with performing rights societies and the U.S. Government Copyright Office Help manage our legal files Prerequisites: Must have completed a copyright course Must have a previous internship in music business Must live within commuting distance of Midtown Manhattan MBA or Law School Grades 2L 3L LLM applicants have at least 1 year of an accredited JD or LL.M. program. Expected tasks include research and drafting related to the enforcement of U.S.-owned intellectual property rights. Record labels, policies and laws that affect the record industry. Articling students assist in reviewing and preparing reports, studies and other documents under the direction and direction of supervising lawyers.
