The Claims Office decides and settles most tort and pro-government claims. Complaints for household items are submitted directly to the freight forwarder; Therefore, members should contact the Air Force Claims Service Centre at 937-656-8044 if they encounter any issues with their airline. For claims information, call 907-552-7884. The law firm also operates Wing Commander`s Tax Center, which is currently located on the first floor of the People Center, Room 111. The tax center is usually open from early February to April 15 of each year. There is also a control centre on the third floor of Bldg. 600, room A306, on JBER-Richardson. JBSA law firms are closed every family day and on federal holidays of the AETC. Law firms may be closed on other days for training or special events. Security Office training support includes weekly security clinics held at the Security Office from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. every Friday; training of the unit`s security guards, which is carried out during the weekly security clinics; Safety Training for Supervisors, offered from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on the first Wednesday of each month in the classroom for safety training, Bldg. 10441 Kuter Avenue, Rooms 301-302; local conditions and personal risk management information sessions for all new JBER-Elmendorf employees and airmen, held weekly at the Community Education Complex, bldg. 7, JBER-Richardson; motorcycle safety training; and road safety education (living at the age of 25). The enlisted party receives this training during training at the First Term Airmen Center Training in Bldg. 6167. New officers must contact the security office within 30 days of arrival to register for the next scheduled course.
